We are currently in need of a Technical Officer. 


Job Description

oDevelop relationships and implement negotiating terms with the underwriters to suit policy holders.

oFacilitate the presentation of business proposals and corporate profile to aid marketing activities, objectives and overall company performance goal.

oStudy proposal forms and interpret with the use of broking slip to underwriters for issuance of policy document.

oCoordination of Technical and Marketing performances input into annual planning & budgeting process.

oLiaise with underwriters to ensure commission are paid at the due time.

oFacilitate the preparation of NAICOM reports and production schedule for compliance.

oProvide timely and accurate periodic reports to the regulators in accordance with the regulatory standard.

oContribute to the development of consistent and achievable long and short term business strategy and plans in line with defined company objectives.

oLiaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties, and aid business and organisational development.

oResearch and development of customer focused products


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements 

oMinimum of 1-2 years’ experience in similar role in Insurance sector is required.

oBachelor’s degree Insurance or  related discipline from a reputable tertiary institution.

oGood documentation skills

oHighly detail-oriented, 

oStrong analytical abilities and a quantitative background.

oDemonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel and PowerPoint

oKnowledge of Insurance processes and procedures
