Job Description
- Use the construction “brief” to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
- Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
- Visit proposed locations and building sites
- Work with computer-aided design software to create blueprints and images
- Participate in project management throughout the construction
- Working with contractors, surveyors, and building service engineers to create a construction schedule and bring the designs to fruition
- Keep within budgets and timelines
- Follow architectural trends and advancements
- Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
Job skills and Requirement
- Good Visualisation Skills
- Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, Sketch Up, 3d Studio VIZ or similar)
- Understanding of Construction Technologies
- Good Knowledge of Building Codes
- Good Project Management Skills
- Ensure that the environmental impact of the project is managed
